4 main types of ukes exist: baritone, tenor, concert and soprano. The soprano was the very first, and the concert size uke followed it. The 15-inch scale length and somewhat bigger body size of the concert uke provide a deeper tone and a slightly louder volume, but still keeping the identifiable, sweet ukulele sound.
The Lanikai S-C Spruce Series Concert Ukulele delivers a supple soft and rich tone which offers a concrete groundwork for just about any songwriter. Its solid spruce top and mahogany sides and back offer amazing sound projection, perfect for those late night jam sessions by the seaside. Die cast tuning gears guarantee extensive periods of uninterrupted, enjoyable playing. The included instruction booklet written by Mary Lou Dempler allows a complete beginner to start strumming within minutes.
