The High Tide Uke is appropriately inspired by the moon. The abalone wave markers on the frets below the first fret are effectively “rising” as they move up the fretboard, towards the full moon’s pull on the first fret.
The high tide series is constructed out of tropical, exotic hardwoods. The Luna “full moon” sticker inside the sound hole is framed by an abalone ring.
This beautiful Luna 26-Inch High-Tide Ovangkol Tenor Ukulele features a dark ovangkol body, which offers a dynamic and full tone. The cutaway provides easier accessibility of the upper-register frets, while the rosewood fretboard and bridge along with the mahagony/nato neck ensure sustained clarity of the tone. The open-style tuners maintain the accurate tuning of the instrument, and the on-board preamp offers effortless amplification that can be rapidly dialed in.
